Dear Visitor,

I created Frog On A Blog in order to provide a forum for writers and fans of children’s picture books to share their views on all-things picture books. I am happy to receive comments.

Tell me what you liked or didn’t like about a picture book you’ve read recently. Share your thoughts about your favorite authors or illustrators. Offer some recommendations to others. Feel free to introduce some information relevant to the world of children’s picture books that might be useful or interesting. Keep in mind that children may view this site, so please post appropriately. And above all, enjoy Frog On A Blog!

I would like to read Findley’s story to a group of youngsters in an effort to raise donations for St. Baldrick’s; it is a charity organization for children’s cancer research. His story just seems like a natural! How may I obtain permission? Do you have illustrations to go along with the narrative?     • Thanks, Tara! It’s nice to meet a fellow picture book (and frog) lover as well as a kid lit blogger. You have a great blog site (I had to check it out, you know) and a great sense of humor. Congratulations on your forthcoming picture books. I’ll keep an eye out for them. Hey, maybe you can work something out with your local library-trade an author visit for the waiving of late fees. 🙂

  6. I have written a children’s book for my stepson and am stuck as far as illustration methods. I was thinking college with tissue & printed paper, or anything but drawing. 😉 I will definitely be following along for some inspiration! Thank you for taking your time to share!
