I catalog hundreds of new picture books each year, and I read as many of them as I can. Unfortunately, I can’t review them all, but I can share them. Below are a few recent titles. (Summaries have been taken directly from the books whenever possible.) Check your local library or bookstore for availability.

Lauri, I wanted to give you an extra special thank you for these lists. One of my goals for the year was to read 1000 picture books and to take notes on all of those books. I am currently at 985. Almost there! I have used your lists of new books as one of my main sources for finding what I want to read next. Thank you for all of your hard work in putting these together.

Hi David, thank you so much for your comment. I’m so glad you find my lists useful. I often wonder if my posts are helpful to my readers especially since I get so few comments. So it really means a lot to me that you would take the time to let me know. Congratulations on just about reaching your picture book reading goal! 🙂
