I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again-I’m a strong proponent of the benefits of learning to read, especially for children. I believe that the ability to read is the jump-off point from which all of life’s successes take flight. That is why I think this issue is so important. Since 1966, Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) has prepared and motivated children to read by delivering free books and literacy resources to children and families who need them most.
